Checking In

We have been out of the routine of life for over a week now.  Many of you may be missing the personal connections with family, neighbors and church friends.  Some are experiencing uncertainty, a few may be temporarily unable to return home, and others are discovering new ways to serve others who are feeling the effects of COVID-19.  Pretend you are grabbing one (or more) of the great treats and a cup of coffee in Cafe Grace during coffee hour.  How are YOU doing?  What thoughts are going through your mind?  How are you passing the time?  Don't forget to add your name to your reply so we know who you are.  Even if you just write "NAME - we're checking in", it would be great to see and hear from you all.

  1. Pastor Eric - Looking forward to hearing from you all as I miss seeing you all in person. We have been digging out some fun board games like Trouble, Life, Monopoly (since we have the time), Reef, Roll for It and others. Praying for each of you and your families!

  2. Tim and Julie Rick - We are 1/2-way through our 14-day quarantine. Really appreciating walks when the weather is nice, and cleaning some areas of the house that haven't seen daylight in many years!

    1. We did lots of cleaning, too! I'm looking forward to dropping off some clothes at Goodwill.

  3. Hi, Grace family! I miss you! I've adjusted to being 100% in the office to 100% at home, s I've become a pro at video conference calls. Thanks to some impressive efforts by Joshua's and Alayna's teachers, we've done schoolwork at home and are enjoying time off from studies for spring break.

  4. I'm done with cleaning my workshop but now I need to tackle the garage. The basement has become the staging area for those things either to be donated somewhere or for a garage sale this summer (ie clean the garage). I think I'm going to need another two weeks of quarantine well back to work.

  5. We are missing seeing everyone at church but are really enjoying the online services. We are blessed as a congregation to have people with the skills to make the online services happen. We have been keeping busy with daily walks and reading books on our Kindles. Craig is missing his coffee and Tighthead get togethers and Brynn is missing Service Workshop. Everyone stay safe!

  6. I'm adjusting to working from home but still miss seeing all my Grace friends. Thanks for all the positive feedback regarding the worship services. Pastor Matthew, Pastor Eric, Paul and Michele are really working hard on them. I've gone to Grace online several times now!

  7. Joan and I had planned to spend the month of March in Florida to celebrate my 80th birthday. As the news of the virus became a top news item, we decided we should come home early, so I actually spent my birthday flying home. American was good enough to exchange our "sardine section" seats for 1st class, so that made it a bit special! We were thankful to get home before the stay-at-home order went into effect.

We miss seeing everyone but we're enjoying the video worship services.

    Stay healthy everyone!
